Service Description

Unique jewellery doesn’t have to be expensive. Learn more sustainable jewellery making techniques by using found and recycled materials. In this workshop we will cover a range of materials and how to use them in jewellery production: old tin cans, shells, wood pieces, second-hand jewellery from charity shops, beach glass etc. I will show you a variety of techniques like embossing, hand-painting, sanding and oiling wood and metal or burnishing metal with a blow torch. We will work on design and how to combine materials. At the end of the session, you will be able to take a pair of earrings, a necklace or a bracelet home. All materials are provided, but feel free to bring your own found and recycled materials you would like to work with.
